New tests reveal many pesticides block male hormones
Several British studies have recently found that agricultural pesticides disrupt male hormones. There was a particular experiment that proved that 30 out of 37 pesticides blocked male testosterone which is crucial to their reproductive health... Most of the pesticides were those applied to fruit and vegetable crops. “This study indicates that, not surprisingly, there are many other endocrine disruptors that we have not yet identified or know very little about” said Emily Barrett, a University of Rochester scientist who was not involved in the study.
All the more reason to shop organic and know what you eat!!
